How to Determine your Ring Size
Buying a ring for yourself or someone you love is an exciting time, and often a major purchase that should be carefully considered. One of the first things to determine is the size of the ring. In the U.S. and Canada, rings are sized by a numbering system that corresponds to a circumference. Jewelry stores have sizing measures available for customers, but there is an easy way to measure your ring size at home as well.

3
Mark the string where the loop ends meet on your finger.
-
4
Lay the string flat and measure the segment between marks with a ruler.

Tips & Warnings
Measure your finger toward the end of the day, when fingers tend to be most swollen.
Perform several measurements and take an average to get a best size estimate.
Some ring size charts come with a ring sizing tape measure that can be cut out and used. Be wary of these, as slight differences in printer settings can throw off their size and thus the results.
