There are many types of cloth grocery bags out there. Here are some wonderful options that you can take with you to the supermarket, health food store, natural foods market, and clothing stores!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • internet
  • money for buying cloth bags or...
  • money for buying cloth to make bags
  1. Step 1

One great resource for buying cloth bags is EcoBags, located at www.ecobags.com. They sell a wide variety of cloth grocery bags, such as this standard canvas bag...which is available in cotton and hemp.

  2. Step 2

Here is another personal favorite...the net grocery bag. This is a wonderful invention! It holds so much, and you can sling it over your shoulder, making carrying the groceries a lot easier! They come in a HUGE selection of colors, too!

  3. Step 3

Finally, you can try your hand at making your own cloth bags. It is pretty simple if you know your way around a needle and thread. Also, a wide variety of cloth bags can be found at Etsy, located at www.etsy.com. This is a gigantic online marketplace where every seller must handcraft their items.

on 3/13/2009 A good day is when I can remember to take the coupons and the list and the cloth bags all at the same time.

on 10/7/2008 Great article. Once I got in the habit of remembering to take my cloth bags with me whenever I went shopping, I only wished I'd started doing this earlier.
