How to make Chewy Raisin Walnut Cookies!

This is a quick, economical cookie, with the added nutrition of nuts and raisins.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  1. Step 1

    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter cookie pans.

  2. Step 2

    Cream together the butter and brown sugar. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Beat until smooth and fluffy.

  3. Step 3

    Mix together the flour, and baking powder. Add to the butter mixture and blend well. Mix in the raisins and walnuts.

  4. Step 4

    Drop by generous teaspoons onto the cookie pan. Bake for approximately 12 minutes. Baking time depends on the size of the cookies. Makes approximately three dozen. Cool and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use dried cranberries or dates instead of the raisins.
  • None.
