How to Avon tips and tricks

How to get sales, recruits, addvertise, for your Avon business.

1. If you haven't already signed up to become an Avon Independant Sales Representative, that would be your 1st step! You can go here to sign up: http://www.youravon.com/apoole
   When you get there, look to the top right hand side and you will see something that says "BECOME AN AVON REPRESENTATIVE". Click it and fill the form out. I will then contact you about starting your new career as an owner of your very own Avon business! Congratulations!
   
   WHY JOIN?
   
   Because Avon is THE company for women, has been around longer than all it's other competitors! (over 100 years) It only costs $10 to start and with that $10, you get a starter kit that includes everything you need to get started making money right away! (instruction manual, 20 brochures, samples, flyers, Avon bag, etc.) You make 50% of everything you sell, GUARANTEED for the 1st 4 campaigns (2 months). That gives you enough time to build up a client base and marketing techniques that will work for you. Maybe you love Avon but don't have the money to get everything you want? Then selling Avon would be great! You could sell to the people you know to cover your own bill. Remember, if you join, you will only be paying 50% of what you normally pay! That's reason enough to join right there! I can easily shop the online store and pick out $500 worth of products I like and would use. Since I sell Avon, my price would only be $250!!! You buy the products somewhere else, anyways! So lets face it---Avon has better products than Wal-Mart! (smell better, look better, last longer, cheaper) 9 times out of 10 that's where you go to buy your personal care products. So why not just save money and get higher quality products from Avon? There are sales meeting to improve your success. They give away products, have raffles, eat & have fun! The people in your upline are always there to help you. If you need further assistance, you can always call or email Avon directly. Avon is not just about making money. It is about looking good, feeling good about yourself, having something to call your own. It is about working your way up from the bottom all the way to the top and then looking back saying "WOW! I DID IT!" and being proud about yourself. You get bonuses from signing up other people who want to sell, special deals only for Avon reps, inside information. Now that you've made the right decision in empowering your future with Avon, let's take a look at some of the 1st things you need to do. 1st, you need to go to youravon website and sign up to become an E-rep. It is free right now as long as you have 1 person to buy something on your site. If things are moving slow, you can always order something yourself or have a friend order a 99 cent chap-stick or something to waive the $7.50 fee for each campaign. They have to select direct shipping for the fee to be waived.
   The next thing you need to do is order more brochures. I would recommend buying plenty because the price drops from 19 cents to 13 cents each after you buy 100. I would buy about 500-1000. Put them out at apartment complexes. I hang them on the door in a "what's new" bag or put them on the car windshields if it's not gonna rain. You can also toss them. This means you wrap them in a plastic bag with rubber band and throw them out the window on peoples driveways like a paper boy. =) It saves time..and don't forget: TIME IS MONEY! Invest in a rubber address stamp that has your name, address, phone, email and website on it so you can stamp the catalogs and not have to write on each one. This will save a lot of time!    You get 5,000 business cards for $39. Those 2 ideas alone will save you hundreds of dollars. Hand the cards out everywhere you go: school, work, church, grocery store, clothes shopping, bank, etc. Next step--flyers! You need to make flyers that are for selling/buying. For example:

   Make sure to put the pull tabs on the bottom with about 10-20 numbers so people can take them and call. Good places to put them: Bulletin boards at laundrymats, grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants. Anywhere there is lots of traffic! DO not waste your time putting up anouncements in a place that only gets 5 people a month. lol ;)
   Another good thing to invest in is samples. When people try, they buy! When I give out samples, I give them to the right people. Meaning, if I know a perfume is more for older people, thats who I give it to. If mostly young people buy it, I give it

3. If I have wrinkle cream samples, I give it to aged women. This will get you sales! Know your product!
   Another thing is to get free sites on the web to market your Avon site. Here are a few good ones:

   Easiest way to do this is type everything one time on Microsoft Word. If you don't have it, download OPEN OFFICE for free here:

   Then copy and paste your info into the websites. YOU'RE DONE! Offer free samples, free catalogs, discounts and a free gift for 1st time customers. You will get sales! Everyone loves free samples!
   Now that you have websites, send them to free search engine submission sites, like:

   Get listed in "free online business directories". Do a yahoo or google search just like I types it, with quotes and everything.
   Get listed in the Yellow Pages, Verizon Superpages, Yahoo Local, Yahoo Yellow Pages (submit your info to InfoUsa for this).
   Create a listing on http://www.merchantcircle.com
   Post ads on:
   http://www.craigslist.org
   http://www.backpage.com
   http://www.domesticsale.com
   
   Do a search for "free online classified ad". Post as many as you can.
   Put a cheap ad in a paper like the THRIFTY NICKEL. Most newspapers offer a free ad placement for items under $500 or $250. Call newspapers in your area to find out details. To save money, say you are a private party. Post a really good product like "INSTANT FACE LIFT- $30. will deliver!" do not put "each" because then they will know you have more than 1. Do not put Avon because that will also give you away! lol ;)
   Do not spend too much money on advertising! Avon practically sells itself. If someone actually looks at a brochure, they will at least see 1 thing they like. =)If you have their contact information, it makes it that much easier to make the sale. on 8/5/2008 I used to sell Avon years ago, it was good for awhile, but then the percentages started decreasing, couldn't keep up so I let it go. But it is a great biz for stay at home moms, and you get to meet a lot of people. I also like the variety they have! Very good article here!
