How to propose to your woman for marriage

Instructions

Step 1

Once you've thought about it for sure that you are positive you want to get married to this special lady of yours, then it's time to ask the parents. This is if you or the girl is traditional and if you think her parents would appreciate it more.

Most girls and the parents would in fact appreciate it more if you ask them first, not exactly to ask permission.. but to let them know and for them to give you their blessing.
Step 2

Once you're done with the parents, it's time to buy the ring.
You must have an idea what type of girl she is; if she likes simple things more, or extravagant stuff, if she likes gold or silver, diamonds or what..

By now, I think you should know ;)
Step 3

Now it's time to figure out the perfect, romantic way to propose. Ask around first; your friends, her friends, even her family for ideas and such. Maybe your girlfriend (soon to be fiancee hopefully) has a special dream of a proposal ever since she was a teenager or something.

And like i mentioned, you should know by now her taste and what she likes, what she dreams about.

If she's the romantic type, a typical candle light dinner and maybe, dancing.. would be great. Have love songs playing, red roses.. etc. Take her to a romantic place at a beach, or the hills to look at the view.
Step 4

Add a little bit of fun and personality in it too of course. Maybe take her to the place where you first met, or where you first kissed, or anywhere where you have had a memorable moment happen.

Some people do go all out for this, and if you have the money and you know she'll appreciate this extra extravaganza, then go ahead and splurge. Put the proposal on a newspaper, billboard, even on a plane ad? (You know those things that fly around with a paper on their tail)

You can also try to spell out the words; "Will you marry me?" in rose petals in the comfort of your home, or make it bigger; put flowers to write it out on the grass at the park.
Step 5

There are so many ways to propose. If youre stuck, go online and im sure you can find so many ideas on how to propose in a cute, romantic, funny, eccentric way, or whatever you think she might prefer.

The key to make this successful is if you're sure about what you feel and be sincere about it. And if she really does want to be with you for the rest of her life, she would say yes no matter how you propose.

on 6/4/2009 i believe the same, if she or he is looking forward to that commitment then yes's will be heard. im going to ask my girlfriend to marry me and she knows it and wants to get married, we have the ring, everything is ready we even already have a rough wedding plan in mind and we arent even engaged yet! heres my speculations: traditional weddings are boring and very very expensive. We are going to try to incorporate our wedding into our honeymoon. we plan to hire a photographer and get married in hawaii where we will enjoy our honeymoon. (a week in hawaii) all for less than 4000. and when we come home we will spend another 500 and just have the family over for a nice get together with plenty of food and alcohol. we think people are more comfortable in homely environments. very non traditional but very exciting. best wishes to all newlyweds!
