1
Prepare a white background. The main focus of the picture should be the jewelry, not the props, so there is no need for shells or flowers to hang in the backdrop. Bright white paper or cloth is all you need for the background. White reflects light and makes the picture more attractive. Lay necklaces and bracelets flat on your background.

2
Set up your lighting. Use natural light, if possible, when the sun is its brightest. If natural light is not available, use a lamp with a bright white bulb. The light should come from above your display in order to avoid shadows, which affects the color and brightness of the beads in the jewelry.

Use the macro setting on your camera, if it is equipped with that option. This will allow you to take close-up pictures without having to worry about a blurry outcome. A close-up picture should showcase the details of your jewelry, such as markings in gemstones, so that potential customers can view all the visual aspects it.

4
Position the camera so that it is at the same level with the jewelry, making sure to get the entire length of the pieces in the photo. Take multiple photos and include close-ups of special features such as clasps, beads and special designs.
