Instructions

You will have to find a FFL Gun Dealer in your area that will ship the gun. Look online or on gunbroker.com to find one. FFL Dealers are not required to make this service available to the general public & some will not do it. some that will ship a gun charge BIG BUCKS while others charge as low as $30 to ship a gun + the shipping fees
      * (FFL - Federal Firearms License)

The buyer has to send you a signed copy of his gun dealer' s FFL (Federal Firearms License). It can not be shipped to someone that does not have a Federal Firearms License. It is against the law ! ! !
In some cases the copy of the Federal Firearms License can be FAXED or email. Ask your dealer what he need for the buyer / buyers FFL gun dealer.

Take the gun & the buyers FFL to you local FFL gun dealer , there is a small amount of paperwork & you will need your drivers license or state issued ID Card. requirement differ for state to state , So again ask your Gun Dealer first.

Once you have filled out the paper work & paid your FFL dealer his fee & paid him the shipping fees , YOU ARE DONE. Make sure you have your FFL dealer give you a tracking number & the shipping insurance info. for your records. Just incase something happens while it is being shipped.

Tips & Warnings

  • I have been shipping out of California to other states. Gun laws in your state or city may be different , so check on this with your local FFL gun Dealer.

  • If your gun is on the Curios & Relics list (This can be checked online), You can ship it straight to a FFL dealer with out using a FFL dealer to ship it out. I got this info from a ATF agent in Los Angeles , BUT it is a pain in the butt & you will have 10 times more hassle & paperwork , PLUS it will cost you more to ship it yourself.

  • If you don't have a FFL you can not ship with the US post office. But a FFL dealer can. You will have to use UPS or FED-EX , it will have to be shipped over night & it will cost you more money.

  • I found it was cheaper & easier to have a FFL gun dealer ship it , Pay him his fee & the shipping. You will save some $$$$

  • on 2 different OLD guns I save $15 letting my FFL dealer do the shipping rather than do it myself with FEDEX or UPS.

  • CHECK ALL LOCAL , STATE & FEDERAL LAWS , They are changing them all the time.

  • gunbroker.com has a excellent Q&A section that will answer almost all of your questions

  • If you sold the gun online , Make sure the payment clears the bank before shipping the gun.

  • I will only accept US POSTAL MONEY ORDERS , there are lots of fake cashiers checks & money orders being used & some of them look real ! ! !
