How to make Pickled Eggs!

Things You'll Need

  • 1 jar just large enough for your 12 eggs
  • 12 hard-cooked eggs.
  • 3 cups white vinegar
  • 2 generous slices of peeled fresh ginger root
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 2 teaspoons pickling spice

Instructions

      Hard cook the eggs. The easiest method is to put the eggs in a large pot of cold water. Bring to a rolling boil. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand for 20 minutes. For easy peeling, plunge immediately it icy cold water. Peel and place into jar.

      Into a saucepan place all remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and boil for ten minutes.

      Pour pickling mixture over eggs. Cool, cover and refrigerate for at least a week. Enjoy.
