Find Free Things to do in Las Vegas

Finding free things to do in Las Vegas is simple. You may lose an arm and a leg gambling in this happenin' town, but you don't have to spend a dime seeing the sites. If you are willing to limit your gambling budget, free things to do in Las Vegas can make this your cheapest vacation ever.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Walk around the strip to see the various outdoor shows at each hotel. The Mirage has a man made volcano errupt multiple times each day. The Treasure Island hotel has a live pirate ship show where explosions take place. The Bellagio has a water fountain show done to music. There are so many different things to do in Las Vegas that cost nothing.

  2. Step 2

Gamble and enjoy the free drinks at the casinos. Okay, I know, it's not free to gamble. You don't have to gamble, however, to have a good time. Sit down and watch others gamble, or just walk around the casinos and look at the decor. The things to do in Las Vegas, many times, revolve around looking at the lights and architecture. It is simply breathtaking.

  3. Step 3

Go shopping at one of the indoor/outdoor shopping centers on the strip. There are many things to do in Las Vegas that are indoors but make you feel like you are outdoors. The Mirage, Bellagio, Paris, and Venetian hotels all have indoor shopping centers with virtual skies. In fact, the venetian hotel even has an indoor river where you can pay for serenaded Gondola rides

  4. Step 4

Visit the historical area of downtown Las Vegas. There are more things to do in Las Vegas than just staying on the "strip". There are many famous old casinos in the downtown district to visit. You will have to take a cab or rent a car, but it may be well worth the short drive.

Tips & Warnings
  • You have to be 21 to even walk through the casinos. Make sure you and all your pals are old enough to enjoy this type of fun. Beware of the extremely hot temperatures in Las Vegas during the summer. If possible, travel during the winter or fall.
  • Don't gamble more than you can afford. In fact, some people leave the credit cards and checkbook at their hotel and gamble with a designated amount of cash at a different hotel.
