How to make hot barbecue sauce

This is a fabulous sauce for cooking either in the kitchen or on the grill. Turn the hum-drum into terrific with this great sauce!!!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 teaspoons tobasco sauce
  • 2 1/2 cups bottled chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili peppers minced
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons tarragon vinegar
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 bayleaf, crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  1. Step 1

    Combine ingredients with 1/2 cup water and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Serve with hamburgers, spareribs, lamb or chicken. Makes about 6 cups.

  3. Step 3

    Sauce may be kept covered in refrigerator for at least 1 week.

Tips & Warnings
  • Can also be used as marinade for brisket, pork chops, steak etc. After making sauce, place uncooked meat in plastic container and pour sauce over the top. Put lid on container or cover with foil and refrigerate for 24 hours before cooking.
  • This sauce is fabulous....your friends and family will be begging you for the recipe!!!!
