The key to an excellent margarita is fresh and quality ingredients. Fresh lime juice, and 100% agave tequila are abosolutly necessary.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fresh limes
  • 100% agave tequila
  • Simple Syrup
  • Triple Sec
  • Ice
  • Shaker
  • Rimming salt
  1. Step 1

On the Rocks: Squeeze the juice of 2-3 limes into the cocktail shaker. Add ice cubes. Add 2 oz. of tequila, 1 oz. of triple sec, 2 oz. of simple syrup. Shake!
Blended: Squeeze the juice of 2-3 limes into blender, add handful of ice cubes, add 2 oz. of tequila, 1 o. of triple sec, 2 oz. of simple syrup. Blend! Add more lime juice if the mixture is too stiff.

  2. Step 2

Rub lip of glass with lime wedge, dip into rimming salt.
If On the Rocks, add ice cubes and drain shaker into glass.
If Blended, pour blender into glass.
    Delicious!

  3. Step 3

100% agave tequila is more expensive, but worth the price. If the bottle does not say 100% agave, don't buy it. The taste difference is huge, and is the difference between a good margarita or an excellent margarita.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add ice slowly to blender to avoid adding to much ice and making the drink too stiff.
