Things You'll Need:
- medicine, soap, towels, wheel chair, railings,pillows, telephone, cell phone, directory, doctor's contact numbers etc.

Step 1
The house including the bedroom of the elderly should be well-lighted. Rugs and carpets should be kept away and or well tacked. Railings should be present at stairways and even the bathroom.

Step 2
Walkways should be smooth and free from obstructions. Toys and other unnecessary things around the living room should be kept lest these could cause the elderly to slip and fall.

Step 3
Electrical cords and even telephone cords and chargers should be kept and or set aside in order not to block the walkways.

Step 4
Do not let the elderly climb the stairs alone. Do not let him climb the attic. Let him wear a non-skid sole shoes.

Be sure, the elderly could access to his/her medicines easily.

Step 6
Check with the doctor on the medicines whether these could cause dizziness to the patient. Have the patient's eyesight, hearing and blood pressure checked since these could be one of the causes for the elderly to fall, injured and even die.

Step 7
Keep the patient clean all the time. Give him/her the food ration needed daily to include food supplements. Let him/her do exercises while sitting. Do some lifting of knees to the chest, knee stretching to keep good blood circulation and strengthen ankles.

Step 8
The family members should always be on guard. The elderly maybe a sleep walker and it's a danger lest he/she falls unnoticed and help could be far enough to the rescue.
