A rainfall shower head turns an ordinary shower into a luxurious retreat.

Many of us shower daily from a cheap or rusty shower head installed by the builders of our home or complex. It takes only a few minutes and anywhere from $20-50 to turn your shower into your personal spa.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • adjustable wrench
  • pipe tape
  • new shower head
  • pipe wrench (optional)
  1. Step 1

Unscrew the attached shower head using an adjustable wrench or pipe wrench (pictured).
The head appears it can be screwed off by hand, but you will need a wrench that can strongly grip it. The pipe wrench makes the job very easy; however, the wrench may cost you $20 or more.

  2. Step 2

Wrap the threads on the pipe with pipe tape.
Only wrap the tape around two or three times. The tape costs $1 at any home improvement store. You should only need 2-3 inches of the tape. You could borrow some from a handyman friend if you want to save a buck.

  3. Step 3

Screw the new shower head on tightly. Use the wrench to ensure the tightest fit.
