Things You'll Need:
- Printer
- Copier
- Money
- Skills
- Time
-
Step 1
I would recommend starting out taking acting lessons. These help out tremendously! It will obviously help your acting, but it will also tell you if this is really what you want do and this is also considered experience!
-
Step 2
You will then need an agent. You may think that will be easy, but trust me it's not! There are many so called "agents", but they're not ALL legimante! Some want you to pay $100-10000 for classes, photoshoots, or even a "start-up fee". I went through many of these before I found the right one.
-
Step 3
Write a resume'. This is a paper with all your information on it. Including your basic info and all your past acting. There is also a space for skills. This is where you put anything your good at! Swimming? Jump Rope? Cooking? Write them all down!
-
Step 4
You will need a photoshoot and a portfolio, but you shouldn't have to pay tens to thousands of dollars for it! You can get your pictures taken for a lot less then that! Less than $100 or even free!
-
Step 5
Comp cards are a must! They're like business cards, but they have your photo and basic info on it. You give this to agents you see around the mall and stuff.
-
Step 6
Go to as many auditions as possible! Subscribe to Explore Talent, Auditions, or any other audition site!
