Things You'll Need:
- Very little time investment
-
Step 1
Dogs are so friendly and loyal that they show it the minute they see you. This is not always a good thing, especially when you are dressed to go out or do not have time to play.
-
Step 2
When you a little time, go to where your dog is. Probably the minute he or she sees you they will approach.
-
Step 3
Take you open palm and hit on your chest. Instinctively, your dog will jump up and put its paws on your chest.
-
Step 4
Pet your dog and then move away. Repeat for two or three days anytime you think about doing it.
-
Step 5
On the third or fourth day, test to see if your dog will come to you and jump on you without invitation. If he or she doesn't, then you are finished with the training. If they do, then continue for a couple of more days.
-
Step 6
The whole lesson here is that your dog will no longer jump on you without being invited.
-
Step 7
This exercise works.
