Things You'll Need:
- 1. tennis ball
- 2. tennis racket
-
Step 1
1. stand behind the back line of the tennis court close to the centre and get into the service position as shown. when this is done make sure that your back foot is parallel to the base line and the front foot is at a 45 degree angle to the base line.
-
Step 2
2. now simply toss the ball as high as you can. when tossing the ball make sure that if the ball is not hit and allowed to fall freely it will cross the base line.
-
Step 3
3. now with the position set you are ready to serve. hold the ball onto the V shaped part of the racket as shown in step 1, bend your knees and toss the ball high as described in step 2.
-
Step 4
4. finally when the ball is at a sufficient height (this is about the same as if you stood straight with your arms stretched up)strike the ball.
start out by striking the ball slow and then gradually increasing your speed. -
Step 5
5. finally make sure that after striking the ball your follow through should be such that you land inside the court.
