How to Draw Rappers
Drawing rappers involves learning just a few specialized drawing skills. You need to learn to draw their bling, hats and microphones clothes. The clothes are typically baggier; the pants hang down below the waist and can be depicted with simple line and shade. You also need to know how to give your rapper's skin the right color; if he is of darker skin, you should shade his face with pencil, using just a few areas of white paper for highlights.

Draw your rapper's face. Accentuate her features to be a little more in-your-face than usual. Make the eyes a little more penetrating, with a strong jaw and cheek bones.

Shade the features using a dark pencil. If your rapper is dark skinned, shade all the way up to the highlights and then just leave a small area of white space for highlights. Even the lighter areas will be darker on dark skin rappers.

Add the bling! Draw a necklace around the neck of the rapper, or add a bandanna like Tupac's. This can be drawn around the head using simple sketch lines, until you find the shaded areas. The knot is drawn with a simple circle that you shade around the edges and two strands of bandanna with pointed ends. A fat necklace can be drawn with large chains and an emblem.

Draw the rapper holding a microphone. Just draw the hand gripping something, with fingers curled around an object. You will draw only the fingers if the palm is facing you, or the back of the hand if the palm is away. Then draw the head of the microphone.

Add a hat turned backwards or to the side. Start by drawing the brim, be sure to draw the bend in the brim; this is an arc shape, and when facing away from you it looks like a "D" turned on end. The head area of the hat starts at the back of the head and curves up to the front side of the hat, which drops straight down with a slight curve. The whole hat itself also looks like a "D" turned on its side to the left.

Drawing rappers is fairly easy as long as you have the basics of drawing humans down pat. Study their clothes, jewelry and other objects they hold to add more realism to your drawings. You can also place them in front of nice cars, in big homes or on stage to make your drawings more dynamic, exciting or stereotypical.
