How to Build a Pellet Trap
Many high-quality pellet gun pellets are made either entirely of lead or contain a large amount of lead. Lead is not a healthy substance to introduce into the environment. If you enjoy firing a pellet gun, you need to be responsible for the pellets. Using a pellet trap is a good way to make sure your lead pellets don’t contaminate the surrounding area. You can buy a pellet trap, or you can make your own using simple materials that you probably already have.
Instructions

1
Cut a hole in the front of the cardboard box. The hole should be the same shape as your target paper of choice, only about 1 inch smaller on all sides.
-
2
Reinforce the inside back and inside bottom of the box with strips of duct tape.
-
-
3
Close the box and seal it with duct tape.
-
4
Apply additional strips of duct tape to the back, bottom and seams of the box. This will add structural support to your pellet trap.

Since I can't add this to my previous comment, use a box about three times as wide and high as your target paper. Almost everyone will miss the trap sooner or later and a big trap will make it later, maybe never if you practice a lot and get reasonably good. -
