How to Enter Search Engine Keywords in Adobe Dreamweaver

Keywords are crucial if you want your website to be recognized by search engines. If you use Adobe Dreamweaver to design your website, it's easy to add keywords to your site and help increase your chances of being found on the World Wide Web.

Instructions

1. 

   Open Dreamweaver and create a new blank page. Click "File," then "New."

2. 

   Open the Insert Bar. Click "Window," then "Insert." A checkmark will appear next to the word Insert if the Insert Bar is open.

3. 

   Click the "Common Tab" on the Insert Bar. Select the Head drop down menu and select Keywords. A Keywords box will open. The "Head Tab" is the fourth button from the left and is below Text.

4. 

   Enter your keyword list. Click "Enter." You've now added keywords to your site.

• Enter all the words that pertain to your site. You may want to ask your friends for ideas because they will have a new perspective and a new way to search for things.

• Keywords should be added to each page of your site.

• Keywords are only one factor that helps your search engine rankings.

• It sometimes takes several days for search engine spiders to search your site's keywords and to include your site in searches.
