When you're designing a website, making lists is a good way to organize information. Lists makes it easier for visitors to read the information on your page. You may want to make simple unordered, bulleted lists, or be more advanced and use ordered, numbered lists. Both are simple to create in Adobe Dreamweaver and will make you website more user-friendly.

  1. Creating Ordered and Unordered Lists

      Open a new page in Dreamweaver by clicking File > New Blank Document.

      Open the Property Inspector. In the menu bar across the top of the screen, click Window > Properties or use Apple + F3.

      Click within the new page where you want the list to appear.

      In the Property Inspector, click on the unordered or ordered list buttons above the "Page Properties" button. If you have trouble locating these, hold your mouse over the buttons and a tab will tell you the function of each button.

      Alternately, to create a list, you can go to the top menu bar and select Text > List > and your choice of list type. A small bullet or number will appear on the page.

      Type the information you want in your list, hitting Enter to create a new bullet on the next line.

      As a final way of creating lists, you can highlight unlisted information on your page that you want to bullet or number and then repeat Step 4 or 5.

      To end the list, press Enter/Return on your keyboard twice.
