Make GRANDMA's Peanut Butter Sugar Cookies

This is how my grandma made peanut butter sugar cookies ,

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter,
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder,
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract,
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  1. Step 1

Use mixer to beat the butter and peanut butter until combined, about 30 seconds.

  2. Step 2

Add white & brown sugar , baking soda and baking powder and mix well .

  3. Step 3

Add vanilla & egg and mix well

  4. Step 4

Add flour & mix well. The dough will thicken at this point

  5. Step 5

Place bowl in refridgerator & chill for an hour.

  6. Step 6

PRE-Heat your oven to 350 degrees.

  7. Step 7

Roll 1-inch cookie dough balls and place them 2 to 3 inches apart on cookie sheets.

  8. Step 8

Use a large fork to press the cookies flat. . Most people make a crossed pattern. But it doesn't matter , make what ever pattern you want , be creative , If the dough sticks to the fork , use a little butter on the fork , It will keep the fork from sticking in the cookie dough.

  9. Step 9

Sprinkle a little regular sugar or powdered sugar on top of each cookie . If you want to make your cookies stand out like my grandma did, use the colored sugar crystals.

  10. Step 10

Place the cookie sheet in the oven & Bake for 10 minutes or till edges start to brown.

  11. Step 11

Place the cookies on a cooling rack or on paper towels if you don't have a cooling rack
