Things You'll Need:
- Pool
- Food
- Fun
- Friends
-
Step 1
Before you have the pool party, you will need to invite some family or friends (or both). I would give them at least 2 weeks notice. So they can move things around or not make plans on the same day.
-
Step 2
For a pool party, you don't have to have the fanciest of foods. Usually people are not expecting champagne and steak when attending. You can do pizza, chips, sodas, etc.
-
Step 3
Also you will not need tons of decoration because you will probably be outside for most of the party.
-
Step 4
You may want to make a trail of towels leading from your front door to the bathroom. So if anyone has to use the restroom, they will not get your whole house wet. This way, when the party is over, you can just throw them in the washing machine.
-
Step 5
There are also many games you can find at the store to play in the pool. One of my favorites is a floating basketball goal. It's a lot of fun and not super expensive.
-
Step 6
It would also be a good idea to get a few floaties for the pool. Like maybe those long noodles, they are also very cheap but a lot of fun. They are also reusable, so you will have them for your next party.

on 2/4/2009 Ever consider hiring a lifeguard? It's a safe bet, especially if there are many children present. My lifeguarding experiences lead me to believe that parents are there to have fun and tend to be carried away in conversations with friends and family. If you are in the Los Angeles area you might even consider checking these guys out. www.NorthValleySwim.com.
