Preparing your skin for a sunless tan will not only make your sunless tan look better but also make it last longer!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wash cloth or puff
  • Exfoliating Scrub
  • Bath or shower
  1. Step 1

Purchase a good exfoliating scrub for your body.

  2. Step 2

Several days before you want to start your sunless tanning, begin to prepare your skin for the big event. Your skin is your largest organ and skin cells die and rejuvenate daily. You want to make sure your skin is prepared to receive the sunless tanning product and be able to sink into your skin easily, not have to go through layers of dead skin that will be sloughing off in a day or two.

  3. Step 3
    Bath Puff
    Bath Puff

Hop in the shower or bath and get out your new exfoliating scrub. Use your scrub with a wash cloth or bath puff. Squeeze a nickel size amount onto your cloth or puff and scrub, scrub, scrub! This will remove the top layers of dead skin cells, allowing for your sunless tanning product to sink into your skin.

  4. Step 4

Rinse, dry off and you are ready for your sunless tanning product. Using an exfoliating product helps your sunless tanning product by eliminating the top surface layers of dead skin cells and allows for a deeper sunless tan. This means your sunless tan will also last longer! Here's to a beautiful glow!

Tips & Warnings
  • You may want to exfoliate your skin several days before starting to use a sunless tanning product.
  • Scrub in circular motions on all areas where you will be applying sunless tanning product.
  • Don't overdo it! Scrubbing too hard will leave your skin raw. Be careful if you have sensitive skin.
