Switch-a-roo! Tired of your decor, need new decorations, but don't have the money to buy them? This is a great way to get all of your friends together, discuss your home and decorating ideas, and get new decor for your home!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Friends, Co-Workers, & Family to invite.
  • Home decor that you no longer want.
  • Finger food
  • Punch
  • Cash
  1. Step 1

INVITE: Send e-mail or snail mail invitations to your friends, co-workers, and family. Let them know when, where (your home), and why (Decor Exchange Party) in the invite. Have them RSVP! Make your invitation look as fun as your party will be, so that they will be excited about attending! NOTE in your invitations for everyone to price their items, they can either sell or trade.

  2. Step 2

PREPARE: Take down all of your decor that you no longer want. Dig in your closets, basement, and storage for old decor you no longer use. Think about seasonal things also, like old Christmas Trees, fall decor, and spring decor. (You may want to note this in your invitations.) Prepare finger food and punch for the guests.

  3. Step 3

PARTY TIME: When the guests start arriving show them to the finger food and punch and wait for all guests to arrive. Let everyone start browsing through each others items and sharing decorating ideas when everyone has arrived. Tell everyone that they can purchase items from one another or they may work out trade deals. Mingle and have fun!

on 10/3/2008 How fun ! We did a similar event with the community woman's group that I am part of. Many of the items were things we picked out to give as gifts which was a nice extra touch !
