How to make a homemade foot soak
Foot soaks are intended to moisturize, soften and deodorize the feet. You can also use the foot soak for relaxation. You can buy liquid and dry foot soaks from a variety of retailers. You can also make your own foot soak for a fraction of the price. For the best results, make a dry mixture that you can add to a tub of water as needed. Things You'll Need
- 1 cup Epsom salt
- 1/2 cup sea salt
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 16 oz. Mason jar
- Essential oils, optional

Combine the Epsom salt, sea salt and baking soda in the mason jar. The Epsom and sea salts help draw out toxins and soften rough, calloused skin. The baking soda is a deodorant. Shake the jar to mix the dry ingredients.

Add essential oils to the dry ingredients, if desired. The essential oils you use are up to you. Add 10 drops at a time, cover and shake the jar and test the aroma. Continue adding essential oils to your personal taste.

Cover the jar and store it in a cool, dry place for up to six months.

Tips & Warnings
Some oils, such as tea tree and lavender, have antifungal properties. Peppermint is invigorating and deodorizing while clove is both an antiseptic and a deodorizer.
To use the soak, add a handful to a tub of warm or hot water and soak for at least 15 minutes.
