Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Massage oil
  • Your preferred essential oil, preferably Eucalyptus, lavender or both
  • Your hands
  1. Step 1

Sit in comfort with the spine erect.

  2. Step 2

Place all four fingers of the right hand on the left shoulder and the thumb by the base of the neck. This helps for the second finger to fall on one of the main pressure points.

  3. Step 3

Mould the hand to the curves of the shoulder and gently tap the region for about one minute.

  4. Step 4

Very gracefully, glide the hand towards the shoulder joint and down the upper arm to the elbow.

  5. Step 5

As the hand is moving, notice any point of discomfort. If you find one, stop moving and gently stroke the regions with the fingers.

  6. Step 6

Repeat the whole process three to five times.

  7. Step 7

Then stroke the other side with method 2-6.

  8. Step 8

Lastly, place the base of the right palm on the left shoulder and keeping the wrist loose and the fingers folded, rhythmically pat the shoulder. Do this for 1 minute on each side. It helps improve the circulation in the region.
