How to Make Your Own Delicious Steak Sauce Similar to A1

This delicious steak sauce is easy to make. It is similar to both A1 and Heinz 57 but does not contain tomato like Heinz 57.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    First soak one quarter cup of seedless raisins in 3/4 cup of apple juice.
    Place the raisin and apple juice mixture in a pan with 2 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 4 tablespoons malt vinegar,

  2. Step 2

    add 1/4 cup of water, 1 1/2 tablespoons applesauce, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Stir just a bit.

  3. Step 3

    add the following seasonings to the liquid mix,
    1/3 teaspoon black pepper,
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder (not onion salt)
    1/3 teaspoon turmeric
    1/2 teaspoon finely grated orange peel or orange zest
    1 1/4 tablespoon mustard
    3 tablespoons brown sugar
    1 teaspoon seasoned salt
    3/4 tablespoon mustard powder
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (not garlic salt)
    Simmer until the mixture is the consistency of steak sauce. Let cool and store in the refrigerator. You can bottle your cloned steak sauce in recycled steak sauce bottles and nobody will know the difference. Enjoy saving money.
