How to Make a Music Video Slideshow on MySpace

A slideshow is basically a set of images or videos that are often displayed in a series. Usually, only a few items appear on the screen at one time, and it can be scrolled to show more. There are several programs and websites that offer the creation of slideshows. Most common are image slideshows, but some sites offer video capabilities. Most sites with music video slideshows require the user to upload videos on their own page or find links to them to paste into the slideshow. IMEEM is one of the rare sites that allow users to create music video playlists by either uploading videos directly to their site or choosing from thousands of videos already on their site. IMEEM calls their groups of videos playlists but, they are, in essence, slideshows.This guide shows how to create a playlist with IMEEM to be pasted onto MySpace profiles. MySpace does not have a music video slideshow feature of its own as of yet.

IMEEM Instructions

1. Sign up on IMEEM's website and login.

2. Click the "Create" tab on the menu bar below the ad banner.

3. Click on "Video Playlist" on the blue menu bar to open the Create Video Playlist page.

4. Scroll down to bottom and click on "My Playlists".

5. Click "New" on the bottom and the "Save New Playlist" box will pop up. Enter a title and description into the boxes and click "Save".

6. Click on "Search" above "My Playlists".

7. Scroll up a bit to the search box, enter search criteria and click the "Search" button.

8. Click the desired video titles to preview them in the player.

9. Highlight the desired video titles, click on them and drag them onto your playlist title under "My Playlists". Repeat this process until all of the video titles have been added to the playlist.

10. Go to your profile page by clicking on your name on the top right of the page next to "Welcome".

11. Scroll down to "Video Playlists" on the left and click on the playlist title.

12. Scroll down to beneath the video, find and copy the "Embed" code and paste it into Notepad or a text file.

MySpace Instructions

13. Login to your MySpace account.

14. Click on "Profile" and on the drop-down menu, choose "Edit Profile".

15. Paste the playlist code into one of the text boxes and click the "Save All Changes" button.

16. Go to your profile page and find the IMEEM playlist player.

17. Click on "playlist" on the playlist player to find the video slideshow.

18. Click on the video desired in the playlist to play it.
