Get natural-looking long lashes
Get natural-looking long lashes

Outside of getting eyelash implants and using drugs that claim to stimulate lash growth, makeup is one low-commitment way for you to get longer lashes.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Eyelash curler
  • Eyelash fiber powder
  • Black lengthening and thickening mascara
  • Fake individual lashes
  1. Step 1

Begin with clean, oil-free lashes to make the most out of your makeup wear. Use an eyelash curler prior to any makeup application.

  2. Step 2

Coat top lashes evenly with eyelash powder. Powder contains fibers for mascara to stick to, giving you not only slightly longer but also noticeably plumper lashes. Do a thorough, but not excessive, job to keep your look natural rather than very evidently fake.

  3. Step 3

Wiggle the mascara wand from the base of the lashes to the tips. Use a lengthening and thickening formula in black. When you have coated over the eyelash fibers, you should notice a significant difference in length from before you began.

  4. Step 4

Attach individual fake lashes from the outer edge of your eye going in, leaving some space in between one lash cluster to the next. You may want to use only a couple at the ends or continue until roughly around mid-eye, depending on the degree of drama you seek. When lash adhesive dries, stroke some mascara on the tips of your newly applied lashes to match the black of your already made up natural lashes.

  5. Step 5

Finish up by holding your mascara wand vertically to color bottom lashes as well. They don't have to be as enhanced as your top ones, but a little mascara application on lower lashes balances out your look.

Tips & Warnings
  • Eyeliner applied as closely as possible to the lash line helps lashes look lusher and thicker. Use a highly pigmented black one that matches your mascara in color intensity to get the best results.
