Nursing mothers are also needed for advertisements and magazines to model clothing and pose for photographs. 1. Find a photographer. You will need to find a photographer who can take photos of you so you can create your own portfolio. It would be best to find a photographer who has taken some great photos of models for maternity clothes, or any type of parenting modeling.

2. Meeting and photographing. Bring a wide variety of maternity clothes to model. The appointment should begin with you and the photographer talking about what you need. Explain that you want to become a model for maternity clothes and that you need to begin building a portfolio in order to get an agent. The photographer should understand where to go from there.

3. Buy a portfolio. If the photographer you hire does not have a professional portfolio available, you can find one online. You will need this to display your photographs in and keep them safe. See the link below for a wealth of information on modeling portfolios.

4. Create your portfolio. To become a model for maternity clothes, you will need a portfolio to show to your potential agent. You will also need a wide variety of photographs that you can sell to clients on your own. Place all of these photos in your portfolio. Keep track of where and when they have been published.
