How to Make a Sinus Headache Relief Pillow
When you have a sinus headache, it can be difficult to do anything but seek relief. Make this pillow for yourself, or give it to a friend who suffers from hayfever or allergies.
Things You'll Need
- 1/2 cup whole flax seed
- 1 tablespoon spearmint tea
- 1 tablespoon peppermint tea
- 1 tablespoon fresh or dried lavender
- 1 tablespoon dried eucalyptus
- 1 tablespoon rosemary
- Fabric
- Scissors
- Needle and thread, or sewing machine
- Bowl
Instructions
-
-
1
Cut fabric into 20-inch by 8-inch rectangle and fold it in half, with the right sides of the fabric together.
-
2
Stitch the sides of the fabric closed very carefully, leaving a small spot unstitched. Sew over the area a second time, so that the pillow has no gaps or holes.
-
-
3
Combine the flax seed, tea, lavender, eucalyptus and rosemary in a bowl. Use your hands to mix them all together.
-
4
Turn the pillow right side out by pulling the fabric through the unsewn hole.
-
5
Stuff the flax seed mixture into the pillow and stitch it closed. To use the pillow, either lay your head on the pillow or place the pillow over your forehead and eyes, close your eyes and relax the sinus pain away.
