Finding a missing email can be easy if you know where to look.

Emails come and go. A lot of them are spam and just things you do not need. Every now and then, though, a really important one comes along. What if you misplace this email or now you can't find it? Here are a few different things you can do to find an email address.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Search by name or by the email address, if you remember it. There is usually a search area on most email pages. This is where you type in any part of the title or email address. Put what you can remember in there. When you are done, click on "Search." If you cannot find the search area, look around the page. There should be a tab or a button that will say "Search."

  2. Step 2

Look through all of the emails that you have sent and received. This will also be emails that are in your saved folder. Check though the ones in your trash and junk folders too. If you cannot remember anything about the email, you will have to open all of them again.

  3. Step 3

Open up your email list. This shows all of the emails you have in a particular folder. Click on the "Ctrl" and "F" keys at the same time. This will bring up "Find." Type in part of your email subject line or the name of the sender. Click on "Find Next" and keep clicking until you find the email you are looking for.
