How to Make Your Disposal Smell Better
Garbage disposals are very useful in the kitchen. But after many uses, they can accumulate food debris and make your kitchen smell bad. With just a couple little tricks, though, you can clean the disposal and bring a fresh scent back to the room. Does this Spark an idea?

Fill an ice cube tray with pure white vinegar and place it in the freezer. Wait for them to completely freeze.

Place several cubes down the drain and run the disposal unit to crush them while running cold water. This will knock off any debris in the blades and the vinegar will disinfect the unit.

Drop some lemon slices down the drain and run the disposal along with some cold water. This will freshen the unit.

Excellent tips. I also use a combination of baking soda and white vinegar. It seems to work well too. -

vinegar works too! I feel like me and the disposal battle weekly...it always smells like mildew! I did the bleach thing and the fruit, works well!
