How to Keep Your Computer Safe on Paid to Click (ptc) Sites
Keeping your computer safe and free from viruses and spyware can be very hard to do if you work on paid to click (ptc) site. If you join ptc sites please be very careful because it is very easy to mess up with your computer without you even knowing.

When you join a PTC site you click on the ad. Then you wait for the timer to countdown. Once it finishes you will click the number or whatever it tells you to click on.

This is where you can screw up your computer big time. The members who advertise are usually allowed to promote any program they want on the site with certain exceptions though. It will tell you in the terms of service (TOS) what you can and cannot promote.

When you click on the link anything could happen you do not know if the site has a virus, adware, or spyware. This is where you need to be careful and make sure you have the software programs to protect your computer. Some good programs to have is an anti-virus software like Avast! or AVG. Another good program is one helps get of adware and spyware called Ad-Ware. These can easily be downloaded on download.com for free.

Another awesome program to have is CCleaner, it gets rid of cookies and registry stuff. Make sure you check out my how to article on CCleaner. Even though you now have the programs to protect your computer, you still need to be careful. You never know what could happen. I used to be a member of a few PTC sites. Many times, I would get warning messages from Avast! about an unsafe website or a website that would have a virus.

Finally, you need ask yourself this is it really worth messing up my computer to make a few pennies? Other than the fact that it can a long time to reach payout. You are taking a risk that could possibly mess up your computer big time. I know for sure that I have had a computer problem before from using a PTC site. Now, I have stopped going on them because it is not worth the pennies for computer problems.

great article. thanks for the information. I never thought about it that way. i have been to those sites, but, know that mentioned it. I will never consider.
