How to Make Homemade Body Lotion
A homemade body lotion will help with dry skin, wrinkles and stretch marks. When making lotions at home, you also have the benefit of knowing exactly what ingredients have been used, and you can avoid any synthetic chemicals. Homemade body lotions are non-toxic and can be made with items already in your home.
Instructions

1
Measure 1 cup of olive oil. You can substitute peanut oil if that is what you have on hand.
-
2
Add 1/4 cup of pure aloe vera juice. Strip the juice from aloe vera fronds if you cannot find pure aloe vera at your local pharmacy. Simply take a knife and cut the frond in half, then use the back of the knife to scrape the gel-like juice into a measuring cup.

-
3
Use a whisk or a blender to emulsify the two ingredients together. Store in a dark bottle or in a dark cupboard.
-
4
Add in the contents of five to 10 Vitamin E capsules if you are concerned about stretch marks. The simplest way to do this is to pierce the capsule with a needle and squeeze the contents directly into your lotion before blending.
-
5
Use the lotion by smoothing a thin layer into your skin wherever it's needed.

Tips & Warnings
If you can find pure cocoa butter, you can add it to the mixture for a creamier lotion.
Old-timers swear by castor oil as a wrinkle preventative. While it does have a distinctive odor, it might be worth trying.
In years gone by, honey and heavy cream were used to make a wrinkle-cream mask.
Add 1 tbsp. of honey to the recipe if your skin is severely dry or cracked. It will help heal and repair the skin.
