      Go online to the Annual Credit Report website (see Resources). Due to the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003, you are authorized to receive a free copy of your credit report from each of the major credit reporting agencies every year.

      Call (877) 322-8228. Your personal information can then be verified over the telephone and your credit history report will be mailed to you.

      Request your credit report by mail. Once you go to the website, you will see a link to request the form by mail.

      Click the link and download the request form.

Tips & Warnings

  • Allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery of your credit report if you choose to order by phone or mail.

  • Be sure to spell the web address correctly. URL's with similar spelling exist to try to get consumers to pay for the credit report.
