How to Make Lollipop Bouquets
As any kid, and for that matter grownup as well, will tell you, lollipops are a favorite treat. From the small gum-filled ones to the giant swirls of flavors, they come in an endless variety of flavor, from cherry to tequila with a worm in the middle, and a dizzying array of shapes, like cars and bugs. A neat way of presenting these treats is a lollipop bouquet. We will take a look at just how to do that.

- Styrofoam dome, 10-inch
- Old newspaper
- Baby's breath floral garnish
- Wrapping paper in desired colors and patterns

Find the theme that you will use the bouquet for. Is it a child's party, a going away, birthday or holiday? Buy the appropriate lollipops for the occasion. For a child's party, some suggestions are fruity flavored lollipops in kids shapes, like cars or cartoon characters. For Halloween, shapes like black cats and pumpkins are appropriate. For festive occasions, take into consideration how you are going to present the bouquet.

For occasions that allow a table bouquet, take the Styrofoam dome and in a pattern that uses either colors that match, a rainbow pattern or shapes that match, push each lollipop into the dome, starting from the top and with the shorter sticks. Make sure you have purchased lollipops with different lengths of sticks. Begin to encircle the top of the dome and work down toward the base, making a gradual change in the length of the lollipops with sticks. This will add body to the bouquet and make it look larger and more like a floral arrangement. At the very base, use the longest sticks and vary the colors. When you have finished, take Baby's Breath and gently place it randomly around the lollipop bouquet. This will complete a table top bouquet.

Making a hand bouquet is a simple procedure. Find the appropriate wrapping paper. Purchase lollipops with long sticks (8-10 inch) as well as a few medium (6-8 inch). Make sure they have varying colors. The shapes should be circular. On a 12-by-12-inch square of the wrapping paper, line it first with a same size cut of tissue paper. Place the longest sticked lollipops on the bottom, 4-6 pieces total, on the top corner of the paper. Next, layer the smaller lollipops (8-10) on top. Repeat once. Wrap from the left to right into a bouquet shape, tightly twisting the bottom to prevent any from falling out the bottom. Liberally place ribbon or bows to add some more color.
