The easiest way to create an MP3 is to import the song into your media player. In most cases this will be either WIndows Media Player or iTunes. Under the "System Preferences" or "Options" menus, both programs will allow you to select "MP3" as the format for importing music from a CD and onto your computer.

To make sure that your file isn't too big when you get ready to upload it to MySpace, you should select your MP3 encoding rate to be either 128 or 160 kbps.

After you have encoded your music as an MP3, log in to MySpace, and under "Edit Profile," select "Add/Edit Songs." This will bring up the music file upload widget. Simply find the files on your computer using the finder in the music uploader. For example, you may have them stored under "John's Profile--->Music--->iTunes library--->John's Band songs." Once you select the song, simply click the "Upload Now" button, and you're all set.
