How to Make a Ringtone From Vcast Music

Are you looking for great and unusual ringtones for your phone? Vcast music contains a large library of music which is easy to navigate and purchase, but these are music files, not ringtones. Here is a guide on how to make your MP3s and other sound clips into personal ringtones.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Phone
  • Audacity or another music editing program
  • Computer with Internet access
  1. Step 1

    Download Audacity if you do not yet have this software. Audacity will help you cut a song or sound clip down to a shorter version (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

    Import the sound file you want to edit to Audacity.

  3. Step 3

    Trim the sections of the song or clip that you do not want. You should trim all but 20 seconds of sound.

  4. Step 4

    If you would like your ringtone to fade in, go to "Effect" on the menu bar. There are also other options you could apply,

    After you are done editing the ringtone, chose to export it (under "File" on the menu). Depending on your phone, it could be either an MP3 or a wav file. Discover which one your phone plays as a ringtone and save your file as that type.

  6. Step 6

    Transfer the ringtone it to your phone. Either connect your phone to your computer via a USB cord, or email the ringtone to your phone's email address.

  7. Step 7

    Your ringtone is now on your phone!Change your ringtone in your settings on your phone!ENJOY!

Tips & Warnings
  • Preview your crafted ringtone on your computer before sending it to your phone.
  • Check to see if your phone has file size restrictions.
