  • Castor oil
  • Squeeze bottle (with narrow tip)
  • Shower cap
  • Plastic covering (Large garbage bag)

      Pour the castor oil into a narrow tipped squeeze bottle. Gently massage the scalp with the oil, before going to bed. Make sure that all areas of psoriasis are covered and worked in with the oil.

      Cover your head with a plastic shower cap. Slip your pillow inside of a large plastic garbage bag in order to keep it from getting any stray oil on it.

      Shampoo as you normally would in the morning. Repeat this procedure once a week.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be gentle with your scalp when brushing the next morning. Remember not only has the psoriasis softened, but also your whole scalp. Rough brushing can irritate your head.

  • Using castor oil for scalp psoriasis is not a quick fix. Continue treatment for two or three months to notice an improvement.
