Things You'll Need:
- Rasp
- Nippers (Optional)
- WD-40
- Old, soft cotton towels

Step 1
Hoof pick with brushThe first thing to do is make sure the teeth on the rasp are as clean as possible. You can use either the brush on the back of a hoof pick, or a wire brush to scrub between the teeth.

Step 2
SavEdge Rasp, ready for WD-40Apply a light coat of WD-40 to both sides of the rasp. This will prevent the steel from rusting.

Step 3
Wrap rasp in the cotton towel, and store on a shelf in your tack room.
