Find your state's realty regulation board. Each state has individual requirements for a real estate license. It is a good idea to make this your first stop on the road towards getting your real estate sales license. If you are not sure how to find your state's board, just do a web search for realty regulations in your state.

Look for a school. Most states will require 60 to 90 credit hours of real estate courses in pre-licensing. Your realty board will have a list of approved schools.
