Instructions

    • 1

Select your flowers. You might choose to do a traditional red rose or colored rose that will match the wedding colors. Or perhaps you'll like a nice white flower such as an orchid or lilac. Maybe you'll choose to use different flowers for different people or to represent unique things or concepts. Make sure whatever you select is a strong and sturdy flower as it will need to hold up for at least one day and withstand a long day of moving around and dancing.

    • 2

Cut the selected flower stems so you are only left with an inch and a half of stem. Place some filler and leaves behind the flowers. Arrange it so the filler and leaves are at least half an inch to an inch higher that the flowers. Cut the stems so they are equal with the flower stems.

    • 3

Wire the stems together with floral wire so the flowers, filler, and leaves stay in place. Wrap floral tape over the wire making sure to cover the ends especially so no one is poked by the top or bottom wire ends. Wrap the tape as smoothly as possible so it looks like a long green stem.

    • 4

Wrap a ribbon around the floral tape stem. Tie a bow underneath the flower base. Secure in place with a dab of glue or piece of floral tape. Wet a couple paper towel and wrap around the flowers. Place this in a cool place such as a fridge. The wet paper towels will make the flowers moist.

    • 5

Remove the flowers from the fridge. Pin onto clothing with straight pins by sticking the pin through the tape wrapped stem and into the clothing then back out the clothing. Have fun on this special day!
