How to Get the Garbage Dump Star on Dreadnought Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy
One of the secret stars in the game Super Mario Galaxy is the Garbage Dump Star. It is located on Dreadnought Galaxy. When you first enter the level, the star is down the green pipe on the bottom side of the spot where you land. This star is somewhat difficult to get: You have to throw the bombs correctly and fast enough to blow up the trash piles in the amount of time allotted. The bombs may not seem to blow up fast enough, or you may not be able to land them in the correct spots. The following steps will show you exactly what to do to get this secret star on Dreadnought Galaxy.

Grab the second bomb from the left again and toss it at the yellow dot located at the immediate right of the center of the screen. At this point, about 14 seconds (and no less than 11) should remain on the timer. The bomb should already be active as you throw it toward that last dot.
