How to Draw Dragonball Z

Dragonball faces are basically constructed with simple shapes and letters.Using these simple steps, Gokuu and Vegeta can be drawn. The hair will need to be changed, of course, but otherwise, both Dragonball characters' facial features can be drawn in the same way.

Instructions

1. 

   Draw an 'M' shape for the forehead. On the right side, make a 'v' for the sideburn that is even with the 'v' of the forehead. Curve down into another 'v' for the chin, leaving an opening for the ear, or erase the line later.

2. 

   Draw a 'j' shaped box beside the sideburn for the right eyebrow. Under the eyebrow, draw a half-moon for the eye and box in the half-moon as shown in the example. Under the right eye draw a "swish" for a cheekbone. Do the same on the other side, altering the shapes slightly because the left side is farther away from the viewer. Draw a fishhook shape in between the eyes to indicate a frown.

3. 

   The nose is a "J" shape coming down from the left eyebrow. Darken the edge just a little where the nostril would be.The mouth is a simple "s" line under the nose with a oval shape underneath the lip for shading.

4. 

   Draw the ear coming off from the 'v' of the sideburn. The ear shape is a curvy backwards "c" with an "F" on the inside. At the end of the "F" draw the loops of the ear hole, as shown in the example. Finish up by adding hair and any details that identify the character.

Tips & Warnings

• Add straight lines to the forehead and eye area to show emotions.

• Don't forget to add shading.
