Excessive sweating in the armpits can be very embarrassing, especially when you've tried many different remedies without success. You may become discouraged and dread spending money on ineffective products. Here are some ways to stop sweaty armpits without having to spend a bundle on failed products.
Double check your attire. Certain types of clothing can actually cause sweating, and you may only need to change your clothes. Cotton clothing is a great choice because it soaks up sweat efficiently. Consider wearing a cotton undershirt to help soak the sweat before it transfers to your outer shirt.
Check any medications you might be taking. Sometimes certain medications, whether prescribed or over-the-counter, can cause you to sweat more than usual and cause a more foul body odor. If this could be a possibility for you, check with your doctor and see if you could take any alternative medications.

Take a bath in tomato juice. Mix a couple cups of tomato juice in your bath water and soak in the tub for at least 15 minutes. Be sure your armpits are under the water the entire time. When you get out of the tub apply some baby powder to your armpits and any other problem areas.
