Step 1
Measure doll house room where tree will be placed from floor to ceiling. Decide how tall the tree in the stand should be for the dollhouse. Cut twigs from artificial pick in 1 to 2 inch pieces. You may have to twist the heavy wires to break them off. Twigs should be 1/2 to 3/4 inch wide at the most. Trim them if they are too wide and bulky.
-
Step 2
Select a 5- to 6-inch long end piece of an artificial evergreen pick. Hold firmly in one hand.
-
Step 3
Take an 18-inch piece of green florist wire, wrap one end tightly around the base wire once to firmly secure. Hold a 1- to 1 1/2-inch twig against the base wire. Wrap florist wire tightly around stem of twig to fasten it to the base wire.
-
Step 4
Twig by twig, add and wrap securely until the tree is the fullness you desire. It takes at least 12 twigs to get a proper shape.Wrap the remainder of wire around the bottom of the base wire.
-
Step 5
When the tree is complete, set it into a container for a tree stand. The stand can be painted or decorated according to the dollhouse theme. Check to make sure it is balanced and bend and move branches until the tree has the effect you want. Decorate according to theme and place it in the dollhouse.
