How to Use CDs as Mailbox Reflectors

While driving, do you have trouble locating your driveway or mailbox at night? Not only is it frustrating while driving, it can also be a real safety hazard. Installing a CD mailbox reflector is a cheap and easy way to create a distinct focal point for locating your mailbox at night with the reflection of your headlights and then again during the day with the reflection of the sunlight. Things You'll Need

• Used CDs
• Waterproof glue
• Wet washcloth
• Mailbox

Instructions

1. Take a wet washcloth and wipe down the area on the mailbox where you will be applying the CDs.

2. Allow the area to dry completely.

3. 

   Take the CDs with the shiny side out and apply glue to the matte surface of the CDs.

4. 

   Form a design with the CDs and adhere them, glue side down, to each side of the mailbox.

5. Allow to dry completely.

6. 

   Enjoy the new reflectors on your mailbox.

Tips & Warnings

• Break up CDs with scissors to create unique designs on the sides of the mailbox.

• Adhere the CDs to all sides of the mailbox if needed for added flair and safety.

• Create dimensional designs with the CDs by overlapping them or forming shapes.

• If applying the CDs outdoors the mailbox

• Avoid the sharp edges of the CDs as they can easily cut your skin.
