Springform pans are two-piece pans with a removable bottom and sides. They are excellent for baking cheesecakes in as well as baking that perfectly round cake. The sides of the pans are easily removed by unlatching the spring mechanism, leaving you with a cake that didn't fall apart when you tried to get it out of the pan. Springform pans usually do not rust, but if they are not dried thoroughly after cleanings it can happen. Removing rust from your Springform pan is easily done with products you most likely already have around the house.
