How to Defeat Ganondorf in the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
A major fight in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is the fight with Ganondorf. He is very strong and difficult to defeat. There are three separate battles you will have with him and each time it will seem as though you have killed him. Be prepared, because you have not. In the first battle, Ganondorf takes over Zelda and turns her against you. In the second battle, he turns into a large beast and will then begin charging at you through portals. The final battle takes place on horseback. Luckily, Midna is there to give you hints during the first two battles. Follow these steps to defeat Ganondorf.

Reflect Zelda’s fire balls of energy back upon her three times. Do this after being hit by one of them. After you have done this, Midna will take Ganondorf out of Zelda, and he will morph into a large beast.

Shoot the jewel on the head of the large beast with an arrow. Then, attack his stomach. He will then disappear and red portals will appear instead.

Begin shooting until Ganondorf disappears again. He will appear out of the portal that turns blue. Keep doing this until Midna speaks again.

Target Ganondorf and hold down A when he charges this time.

Attack his stomach again after Midna grabs him and you’ve chosen a side to throw him to. He will then seemingly be defeated, but will return again. Midna will try killing him while teleporting you and Zelda away from there. Hyrule Castle will explode, but Ganondorf will still live.

Ride close to Ganondorf so that Zelda can shoot him with her Light Arrows and you can attack him with your sword. After enough hits, you will then face him in a sword duel.

Use the rolling attack from behind, then swing your sword afterwards. He may teleport, but just roll away.

Attack him using a spinning hit with two slashes. He soon should be defeated.

Tips & Warnings
Another tip while fighting him is take out your fishing rod. He will drop his guard and focus on the bobber. This is when you can take out your sword and hit him. Repeat this to defeat him.
Don’t let him get behind you, because he will attack you and knock you off the horse. You will then have to play chicken until you can get behind him again.
